All Manipur Clubs Organization (AMUCO) has prepared to face the outcome of the “so called historic Indo- Naga agreement” that was signed on Monday between Government of India and NSCN (IM) in New Delhi.
It was informed by President of AMUCO, Dr Y Mani Khuman, while addressing the gathering at its 18th Manipur Integrity Day held today at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai Community Hall.
Nobody but only the NSCN and Central government knows the actual content of the agreement. All the people are at lurch without knowing their point of agreement. There is no transparency and the agreement is the manifestation of their (Indian government and NSCN) hidden agenda regarding the Indo-Naga issue, said the president.
AMUCO is preparing a monitoring cell to scrutinize the points of agreement between the GoI and NSCN.
He also said that Inner Line Permit System is necessary to protect the cultural and social identity as well as the economic status of the indigenous people of Manipur.
Other speakers who attended the celebration also stressed on the Indo-Naga peace talk, while they also appealed all protect the territorial integrity of the state from external aggression.
They also condemned the Bangkok Agreement that was signed between the NSCN (IM) and Indian government on June 14, 2001.
It also resolved to confront the “divide and rule” policy of the Indian government collectively with all the communities in the state.
