Two Day Free Health Camp cum HIV screening camp held at Moreh

On February 20 and 21, 2021, Dedicated People‘s Union Moreh and Organisation for Salvation of Man (NGOs – Under Manipur State Aids Control Society) organised two days Free Health Camp and HIV Screening Camp at Adullam Drug Rehabilitation Centre at H. Munnom Village and Ch. Tengnoupal Village , Moreh on 20th and 21st of this month respectively in collaboration with 43rd Assam Rifles and I-tech India.
The camp was participated by a total of 156 patients attended the medical camps . The patients were also provided with free medicines followed by a counselling session regarding HIV/AIDS. The NGOs also known as Targeted Intervention Projects under Manipur State Aids Control Society and National Aids Control Organisation are working to find out HIV Positive patients for treatment and also to prevent HIV transmission in Tengnoupal District.
The Dedicated peoples’ Union has been spreading the message against Drug Abuse and has been working for a drug free Moreh. Total of 20 staff members of both the NGOs and unit of 43 Assam rifles Unit Hospital jointly conducted the medical camp. Regular efforts are being made by Assam Rifles and such NGOs for treatment of drug addicts, counselling sessions for inmates, skill development of local youth and intense area domination to prevent move of drugs with a larger aim of ensuring Drug Free Moreh.
