Volunteers of the Peace & Integrity Committee Kyamgei (PICK) and All Kyamgei Meira Paibis form human chain demanding crackdown to Kuki Narco Terrorists in the aftermath of Trongloabi killings at Pal Ahanbi at National Highway-2.

Tension continued to prevail across the valley districts of Manipur today in the aftermath of widespread protests triggered by a bomb attack at Tronglaobi in Bishnupur district, which claimed the lives of two minor children.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of April 7, involved a suspected attack by armed militants. A five-month-old infant and a five-year-old child were killed in the attack, sparking public outrage and unrest in several areas.
In response to the deteriorating law and order situation, security has been intensified across the valley districts. District Magistrates have imposed curfew under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Markets, educational institutions, banks, and offices remained closed, while roads wore a deserted look with most residents staying indoors.
Meanwhile, the death toll related to the subsequent violence has risen. One more person, who was injured in firing by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel at Tronglaobi during the unrest, succumbed to his injuries at around 9 am today. The deceased has been identified as Wahengbam Boby (29), son of late Ibochouba of Kumbi Terakhong Ward No. 7. He has been undergoing in the ICU ward of RIMS after sustaining bullet injury at CRPF camp at Trongloabi yesterday.
Earlier, two others who were injured in the same firing incident had also died. They have been identified as Huidrom Michael alias Henary (40), son of Mohon of Tera Lukram Leirak in Imphal West district, and Laishram Jiten (41), son of L. Udoichand of Torbung Waikhurok in Bishnupur district.
Police sources stated that three members of the militant outfit United Kuki National Army (UKNA) have been arrested in connection with the bomb attack. They are suspected to be directly or indirectly involved in the killing of the two children.
In view of the volatile situation, the State government had suspended internet services across the five valley districts. However, following a review of its impact on essential services, authorities have announced a partial relaxation. Broadband services, including Internet Leased Line (ILL) and Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) connections, have been conditionally restored.
Officials said the restoration would remain subject to strict compliance with prescribed safeguards to prevent misuse and ensure public safety.
