A Training course on Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS)& Comprehensive Cardiopulmonary Life Support (CCLS) (Training of Trainers)under Indian Resuscitation Council Federation was held at Examination Hall, RIMS, Imphal. The program was graced by Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director RIMS, Imphal as Chief Guest in presence of Prof. N. Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal, Prof. Akoijam Brogen Singh, Dean (Academics), RIMS, Imphal, Prof. Gojendra Rajkumar, HOD, Dept. of Anaesthesiology, RIMS, Imphal and Dr. Reshu Gupta, Senior Consultant, Critical Care, Health City Hospital, Guwahati.
As stated bythe Director of RIMS, Imphal, as per National Medical Commission (NMC) mandate, training of Life saving procedures (BCLS & CCLS) are mandatory training of Post-Graduation in our country. Even without this procedures,being a doctor should able to save life and at least need to know the ABCD and CPR so that life can be able to save at those precious moments or second of life.
Further, Director, RIMS, Imphal appreciated the Department of Anaesthesiology, RIMS, Imphal for taking a lead in organizing Training of Trainers which is bound to increase the knowledge of trainers. Subsequently it will spread to the state and other students coming in this prestigious institute.
The program was attended by HODs, doctors and staffof RIMS, Imphal.
