Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam today said that people should not have any fear in speaking the truth. He said that the habit of talking something to someone and talking another thing to another person should be avoided.
“There should not be any fear in speaking truth, when you speak the truth you will stand for the future of whole society instead of misleading to the darkness”, Gaikhangam said while speaking at the launching function of the distinctive jacket for journalists in the state held today morning at Manipur Press Club.
“There is threat perception, to many of the people during the last two days and many imaginative statements has been highlighted at which the state will never accept’, Gaikhangam said referring to the news report regarding the statement of the NSCN-IM leaders appeared in today’s newspapers.
He said the lie to mislead the people into darkness should never be spell out. On the other hand the Deputy Chief Minister said that people should to ponder upon which thing should be given main priority in taking up matters relating to the interest of the state. Gaikhangam was referring to the present peoples’ movement for introduction of the ILP and the upcoming threat to the integrity of the state by the signing of the peace accord between the government of India and the NSCN-IM. He said priority should be known and it is time that all the people of the state including the government, common people and the civil society bodies of the state stands together and prepare to challenge any challenges to the state.
