Imphal, Oct 1,

A statement by the MIP, NSCN-K stated that the party had established fact that Yonghong led Pangmi sect has willfully seceded from NSCN/GPRN and entered into an NCA pact with Myanmar Union thus forfeiting almost a century old Nagas struggle for sovereign independence.
It said that the Nagas from India particularly cannot serve two masters and there cannot exists two parallel NSCN/GPRN in Nagaland.
The statement further that stated that it would be a wastage of resources and unnecessary harassment to entertain the Myanmar NCA group in any form i,e politically, morally or materially when they have sought refuge under Myanmar Juntas and are comfortably pursuing lucrative businesses worth millions in the form of road construction contracts, Gold and Jade mining, illicit Opium trade and other extortion rackets.
“The Nagas under Indian occupation cannot afford to continue to feed the Myanmar NCA group despite the presence of few misguided leaders from Nagaland in their midst. The hollow claim that the impeachment process was constitutional and consented by all the NSCN/GPRN members clearly exposes their ignorance, stupidity and insanity.
“It is utterly ridiculous to claim legality when only 36 pangmi workers plotted and appended the impeachment order amid thousands of NSCN/GPRN workers who were completely ignored, uninformed and uninvolved in the conspiracy. It is also pertinent to note that Yonghong was trained by UNLF and served in the UNLF initially, he had also been expelled from the NSCN for five years due to drug addiction and was reinstated later.
“This is the fourth coup attempt by the Pangmi tribe during the 38 years of NSCN existence beginning from expulsion of Isak-Muivah from Eastern Nagaland in the year 1988 to Kitovi-Khole in 2011,Wangting in 2015 and the latest attempt by Yonghong led Myanmar NCA group in August 17, 2018.
“ Nevertheless, His Excellency, Lt.Gen.(rtd) Khango Konyak led NSCN shall never be bogged down by the usurpers but shall continue to lead  the NSCN/GPRN and the Nagas by honouring the sacrifices of thousands of precious Naga’s lives and shall uphold the historical and political rights of the Nagas under any circumstances. If necessary every minute details of the Myanmar NCA group secret treacherous deal with Myanmar Juntas at Nyapidaw shall be exposed before the Nagas and the world”, the statement of the NSCN-K said.
