Thoubal,Sept.15: Yairipok Thambalnu Sahitya Marup cum Library,Yairipok today observed 24th Foundation Day at Yairipok Bamol Leikai Community Hall. On the occasion, awards were conferred to writers for their contribution in the field of literature.
Education Minister Th. Radheshyam graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Raghubir Thiyam President of the Yairipok Thambalnu Sahitya Marup cum Library presided over the function.
Sahitya Academy awardee Kshetri Bira, Sahitya Bhushan Awardee and playwright N.Kalimohon Singh and Principal of Thoubal College N.Gandhar Singh attended as guests of honour.
As September is a month of Hijam Irabot, fitting tribute were also paid to the portrait of the pioneer leader.
