Suspend SoO with Myanmar based armed group, deport them to Myanmar – Haomee

Federation of Haomee today blamed the earlier Congress government for converting the state of Manipur as a den of foreigners by signing Suspension of Operation (SoO) with foreign-based armed rebel organizations.

In a statement, the Federation of Haomee said that Myanmarese from Myanmar have intruded to the state and settled ay various hill region of the state putting the life of the indigenous people at stake after the then Congress government signed SoO with armed organization KNA/ZRA based in Myanmar and led by Myanmarese.

The statement said that President of the KNF P.S. Haokip is from Molnoi in Saigang Sub-Division in Myanmar. He then took refuge at Kukidalong in Nagaland and taking advantage of the SoO he has been allowed to settle at Churanchandpur in Manipur.

The statement said that the present government should enquire about why the then Congress government had signed SoO with Myanmar based armed group led by the Myanmarese like the KNF/KNO/UPF/ZRO/ZRA etc. After the signing of SoO with foreign extremist Manipur today has been converted as 2nd Golden Triangle, the statement said and added that the SoO should be suspended by the present government.

The statement further said that Myanmarese today has infringed on the politics of Manipur putting at stake the political and social rights of the people.

“They have started claiming our sacred place Thangjing and Koubru openly and have also tried to sabotage the history of Manipur by re-writing history.

“They have converted our King Taothingmang as Kuki King that has been associated in Anglo Kuki War (1917-1919”, The statement by the federation of Haomee said and demanded to immediately cease the SoO with the Myanmar base armed group and to detect the foreigner that have settled in the state deported to their land.
