Survey department of India to discuss disputed boundary with Myanmar

Unresolved boundary dispute between the Government of India and Government of Myanmar has hindered India government effort to pressure Myanmarese authority for flushing out insurgents of India allegedly taking shelter at Myanmar’s soil. A high level source disclose to Imphal Times said that a Director level meeting of both India and Myanmar is scheduled to hold on November 4 and November 5 at Tamu, Myanmar. The Survey department team is expected to arrive in Imphal on November 2.
During the meeting, state government representatives of Manipur are also invited.
The source said that the meeting will discussed in dept about the disputed boundary pillars and also will also carted out for repairing of the destructed boundary pillar. State government has taken up security measures to assure safety of the visiting official s of the Survey Department of India.
