Students demand withdrawal of college principal’s transfer

Students of Oriental College staged a sit-in protest condemning the recent transfer of the college Principal today at the gate of the college premise located at Takyel, Imphal. While speaking to media persons, general secretary, student union of the college, Kh. Romeo said the students of the college highly condemned the transfer of the college principal, Th. Biren. He added that the principal had worked very hard to convert the college into an autonomous body. Romeo further added that the immediate transfer of the principal is spoiling the life of students. Demanding to cancel the transfer order of the principal immediately the student body is all prepared to intensify agitations, said Romeo.
