Students bodies denounce transferring of teachers from Jiribam

Four Students bodies of the Jiribam unit-AMSU, MSF, DESAM and KSA have denounced the transfer of two teachers from Borobekra Higher Secondary School, Jiribam to Imphal amidst the shortage of Teachers.
Talking to media persons, L. Bilaks Meetei, President of DESAM, Jiri District Council said that as per the order of the Commissioner of Education (S) two teachers from Borobekra Higher Secondary School, Jiribam were transferred to Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School and Model Higher Secondary School, Imphal.
He said amid the shortage of Teachers to the Jiribam District, such thoughtless transferring of teachers is unacceptable to the students’ bodies.
Further, denouncing the transferring of teachers, Atom Rajiv Meitei, President of MSF, District Committee, Jiribam appealed to the concerned authority not to transfer the teachers without giving replacement of teachers.
The authority concerned should revoke the transfer order and bring normalcy in the school, he said, adding that the two teachers have been working with dedication in improving the school.
