Student must have nationalism mindset: Letpao

Imphal, Nov 12: Water Resource & YAS Minister Letpao Haokip today exhorted the Zou students that, every student must have nationalism mindset. A student should think what you can contribute to the society said the minister. He quoted Sardar Vallabha Bhai Patel popularly known as ‘the Iron Man of India’ is a good example to follow suit by the student as a nationalist.
The Minister was speaking as the Chief Guest at the 22nd Annual Conference of the Zou Student’s Association, Imphal Block which was held at the auditorium of Tribal Research Institute, Chingmeirong, Imphal yesterday.
Chairman ADC Chandel Lhukhosei Zou attended as the Chief Host, Vice Chairman ADC Chandel Th. Joy Lamkang and Morung Maring, EM ADC Chandel also attended the function as special invitees.
Edmund Munluo, Assistant Commissioner, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India graced the function as the Guest of Honour. He himself a member of the organisation challenges the gathering to take forward step in education. Without hardwork and perseverance there is no room for government job aspirants said the assistant commissioner.
The functional president, MLA Ginsuanhau Zou could not attend the program due to health issue. In his message conveyed through his personal secretary Khapkhanthang encourage the student community to dream for the highest government jobs and shun involvement in politics during a student life.
ZSP Imphal Block awarded appreciation certificate to their successful students in different lines and departments. The function was enthralled by the local singer artists.
