Student bodies express concern over school closure threat, warns of intense agitation if student’s interest hurt

Various student bodies have expressed grave concern over the threat by private school body for closure of the schools demanding revocation of the June 26th order issued by the government of Manipur.
The State Government had asked private school owners not to charge any fee from the students during Covid lockdown and to pay 50% of the salary amount to teachers. Objections to the order have already been expressed by the Private school owners association and threaten to shut the schools if the order is not revoke by July 20.
Leaders of various students’ body said that they will not remain quite if any action that may hurt the interest of the students happen . Peter Laishram, President AMSU, called the whole issue unfortunate and termed the objections raised by the school owners as anti people. The school closure threat may create panic amongst the student and it will not be conducive for studies, he further added.
Sajad Bhuiyamayum, Vice President, MSF, warns that if the tussle between the Govt. and the private school owners hurt the interest of the student, MSF would not keep quiet.
Leishangthem Lamyanba, Secretary, DESAM, further warns of intense agitation for any disturbance in academic atmosphere and offered mediatory role if required.

1. No fees should be charged 2. No salaries for lockdown periods. 3. No reopening until situation normalized. If govt. or any organizations forcefully opened the school and if any single student got infected by COVID-19, responsibility will be bear the responding person or organization and they hell have to pay the price because losing one year is far more better than losing our kids from the virus.
