State delegates participated in the recently held from 10th Asian Students National Conference at Patna was felicitated in a simple function at Babina Diagnostic Center, Porompat today.
The 10th Asian Students National Conference was organized by Indian Doctors for Peace and Development from March 4 to 6 at Patna under its parent body, ‘International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War’.
A team of 11 medical students from JNIMS, Imphal led by Dr M Nara, President IDPD, Manipur Chapter attended in the three day long National Conference which was held under the theme “Health through Peace & Development”.
Speaking to reporters, Yahia Khan, President of JNIMS Students’ Union expressed his strong resentment over the Central Government’s allocation of more fund in Defense Sector by neglecting Health Sector, which is already in deteriorated condition.
He further said delegates from other parts of Asia have resolved to spread the awareness of achieving ‘Health through Peace & Development’ through various activities.
While a Students’ Wing for the very association was also initiated in the Conference. And of the Wing Yahia Khan has elected as Co-National Representative of Manipur Chapter, Students Wing while Surjit Laithangbam and Thiyam Pinky has been selected as representatives for Eastern Zone.
