The state government has requested the National Human Right Commission to allow 90 more days time for completion of the Magisterial Enquiry report on extrajudicial killing two person by the 29th Assam Rifle on June 1, 2009.An official source said that the National Human Right Commission has served a Show Cause Notice to state government regarding the alleged extrajudicial killing of two person late Laishram Kishorjit son of Madhumangol and late Soram Priyokumar son of late Jugindra of Urup Village, Imphal East District by the 29th Assam Rifle at Maipi Angbrasu track in Chandel District, Manipur on June 1, 2009. And the commission has given time to furnish the report before September 30, 2014.In response to the Commission notification, the state government requested to grant more time of 90 days to furnishing the action taken report by the state government. The state Home has issued an order for conducting Magisterial Enquiry to the District Magistrate Chandel on August 25, 2014.The magisterial Enquiry will take about three months. It would not be possible to furnish the report of Magisterial Enquiry to commission before September 30, 2014, the source added.The state government directed term of reference for enquiry on fact and circumstances leading to the incident.State government has directed to submit the magisterial enquiry report within two month from the date of issue of order without further extension of the time.
