Gaikhangam calls on to remain prepared for India’s Look East Policy

Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, who is also in charge of Home department today called upon the people of the state to remain prepared for facing any challenges to the impact of India’s look East policy.Speaking during the inaugural function of the two days workshop on – Manipur in India’s look East Policy, at Classic Hotel here in Imphal, Gaikhangam said the people of the region may become refugees in their own land unless they  prepare to face the challenges. The deputy Chief Minister as talking about peoples’ participation in foreign trade and exchange which will be a major part of the Look East Policy.The two day workshop is being organised by the Manipur chamber of foreign trade and industries in association with the Manipur Update to spread understanding about the series of activities which will be associating with the India’s Look East Policy. Around 9 resource persons will be speaking on various issues during the two day workshop.Commerce and Industries Ministries Govindas Konthoujam, who also attended in the inaugural function of the two day workshop, highlighted the development activities including the construction of integrated check post under taken by the government in connection with the upcoming government policy.Manipur chamber of foreign trade and industries in association, P Loken also stressed on the need to stay prepared on any activities which will be associating with the India’s Look East Policy.
