Sports persons of Manipur not happy with Mizoram CM; burnt effigy; ‘Don’t meddle with neigbouring state business Mr. Zoramthanga’

Sports persons of Manipur today protested against the response of Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga to the ongoing crisis in Manipur. Reacting to the humiliation of Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh during a mass rally staged at Aizawl on July 25 at which Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga was also attended, the sports persons of various disciplines today protested and burnt the effigy of Zoramthanga at Khuman Lampak Sports complex.
“It is unfortunate that the Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga had interfered with the internal matter of Manipur by humiliating Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh”, a sportsperson told media persons. She said that there may be difference of opinion regarding Chief Minister N. Biren Singh but nobody from outside should judge the Chief Minister.
“People of other states like it or not but we will stand by our Chief Minister N. Biren Singh”, the sportsperson told media person adding that we condemn in the strongest term the act of Mizoram Chief Minister.
Don’t meddle with the internal issue of neighbouring states, said the sportspersons to Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga.
Later the sportspersons burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Zoram Thanga at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
