Special outreach programme on Poshan Maah held at Chandel

A Special Outreach Programme on Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 was held today at the Multipurpose Hall of the DC Office, Chandel. The programme was organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Central Bureau of Communication Field Office Chandel, in collaboration with ICDS Cell Chandel.
The event, held under the theme ‘Right Nutrition, Healthy Life,’ was attended by Ahanthem Neemi, CDPO of ICDS Cell Chandel as Chief Guest; Moirangthem Rustum (IIS), Assistant Director of HoO, CBC, FO Chandel as President; and Pipa Tungdar Maring, CDPO of Khengjoy Block, ICDS Cell Chandel as Guest of Honour.
Speaking as Chief Guest, Ahanthem Neemi urged Anganwadi workers and helpers attending the programme of Rashtriya Poshan Maah to educate households and local communities on nutrition, contributing to a healthy society free from diseases.
Pipa Tungdar Maring highlighted that the nutritious food once consumed by our forefathers is no longer part of the modern diet. It is essential for the Anganwadi workers and helper to impart the idea that it is essential to consumer nutritious food for keeping the body healthy, he added.
Moirangthem Rustum stressed the role of Anganwadi workers as frontline agents in building a healthy society and called for wholehearted dedication to make Rashtriya Poshan Maah more effective, particularly for the growth and health of children.
The programme was also attended by Mathew SK Bengam, Field Officer of CBC Chandel, Anganwadi workers and supervisors from ICDS Cell Chandel. A tree plantation drive under ‘Ek Ped Maa’ was conducted as part of the Nation First @ 75 Campaign.
