Special Judge grants absolute bail to three Village Volunteers in CBI case

The Special Judge CBI in Chandmari, Guwahati, Assam, has granted absolute bail to three village volunteers, accused in connection with a CBI case initiated at Kolkata. The case involves the alleged snatching of weapons by a public mob from MPTC, Pangei, and Narasenna, Moirang.
The three accused—Johnson, Romojit, and Kajit—were initially granted interim pre-arrest bail on December 17, 2024. After the filing of a written objection by the CBI, the matter was brought before the court on January 7, 2024. After hearing both parties, the Special Judge decided to make the interim bail order absolute.
The case, which is linked to the broader investigation into the snatching incident, saw the accused granted bail after thorough consideration of the facts presented in court.
The conducting counsel for the accused is Maisnam Johnny Meitei, Secretary of the All Manipur Bar Association.
