Sinakeithei village expresses gratitude for support

Amid ongoing conflict and disruption, the people of Sinakeithei Village in Ukhrul district have expressed deep gratitude for the support and solidarity extended to them during a difficult period.
With movement restricted and daily life severely affected, residents have faced weeks of hardship, including limited access to agricultural fields, essential services, and regular sources of livelihood.
In a statement issued by the Sinakeithei Village Authority, Chairman Ulysis Rungsung acknowledged the assistance received from neighbouring villages, civil society organisations, associations, NGOs and well-wishers.
He conveyed appreciation for financial aid, food supplies and other essential relief materials, stating that the support helped address immediate needs while also lifting the morale of villagers during a period of uncertainty.
“Every act of kindness has carried immense meaning for our people,” the statement said, adding that the support reflected a sense of unity and reassurance that the village was not alone in its struggle.
The authority also noted that emotional support, prayers and encouragement from various quarters played a significant role in sustaining the community’s resilience.
Describing the assistance as a reflection of collective responsibility and compassion, the village authority expressed hope for the restoration of peace and stability, while affirming that the support received would remain a lasting source of strength and remembrance for the community.
