Imphal, July 23: Dead body of Shaloni Akha (29) who was allegedly beaten to death by unknown persons in south Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur area at around 2.20 a.m. was brought home today. The dead body was received by various leaders of the civil society organization including the representatives of the All Naga Students Association Manipur, Senapati District Students’ Union, Paomei Naga Students Union and ADC members.Speaking to media persons, President of the SDSU, Akha ADani demanded to award capital punishment to all those involved in the killing of Shaloni . Representatives of the North East Student Union New Delhi, Johny said that the representatives of the people of the state, members of the civil society organizations and students’ body need to seriously deal with the kind of hate crime committed towards the people of the region.
