Session extended for two more days

The ongoing assembly session which is scheduled to conclude today has been extended for two more days to table and pass the Inner Line Permit Bill. The decision to extend the sitting of the house has been taken by a meeting of the Business Advisory committee meeting held today morning. Leader of the house, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh presented the committee meeting and the house will have two more sitting on March 13 and March 16. The decision to extend the sitting of the house was adopted in yesterday cabinet meeting chaired by the chief Minister and later it was discussed during a CLP meeting. As stated by the leader of the house the bill to check illegal migrants in the state will be tabled and pass on March 13 and as the governor need to study it for at least two days the house again need to have a sitting on March 16 after getting the governor’s assent.
