Imphal, Aug 31.

Media nuisance to the immoral activities of certain persons might receive enormous responses from both common people and human rights activists.
However, depending upon the nature of the immoral activities the outcries too differ.
Dismantling of houses, tonsuring or humiliation in public, boycotting from the locality were some of the follow up action, the present day society has been witnessing for the last couple of decades.
The highest degree of outcry or perhaps public uproar occurred when a person commits crimes of rape.
People in the state have been witnessing various form of protest like staging rally, demonstration etc.etc.for punishment of the culprits involved in such crime.
The latest being the one at which a school going minor  girl was raped inside a hostel by her teacher.
Whether correct or not the accused rapist has been reportedly surrendered.
However, skepticism over the ineffectiveness on the part of law enforcers in the past incidents has not stopped the people from organizing various form of protest to ensure justice and punishment of the culprits.
The victim being minor girl , the teacher might even get death sentence as per the proceeding of the law.
Now the concern is about the victim minor girl ?
The incident has come to the notice of the public after the mother of the victim girl highlighted it to a group of media persons.
Shock and angry over the incident the residence of the rapists teacher had been vandalized.
The story was really shocking and newsmen on duty seemed to have been almost moved by sentiment rather than following their professions.
Sometime sentiments need to be counted while taking up the job in a state like Manipur where everything is heading towards the wrong direction.
However, it was really shocking to learn that the victim girl was once more harassed which is no different from the incident where she was raped by the teacher.
The memories would haunt time and again not only her but also all her relatives and even her school mates.
Media might have presumed that concealing her name would do her right as her identity will not be let known to the mass.
But on a deeper look her mother’s name, address, school and even class was mentioned in some sections of the media, which meant that almost all people have easily found out who the victim is.
Again the police investigations will also leave no stone un-turned in summoning the victim girl.
It is high time for the concern government department to take up some sort of immediate measures for the girl to save her future.
