Sargam celebrate 33rd Foundation Day 

Sargam Performing cum Musical Institute celebrates its 33rd Foundation Day today at the Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, Imphal, with a series of cultural and musical programmes.
The function features Thangjam Arunkumar, MLA of Wangkhei Assembly Constituency, as Chief Guest. Guests of Honour include G. Dharmadas Sharma, Deputy Director of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur; Mongjam Joy Singh, Retired Commissioner of Art and Culture; Dr. Dhanabir Laishram, Social Scientist; Leitanthem Tombi, President of ISTV Network; and Nando Soibam, Project Consultant. M. Dhananjoy Singh, President of Sargam, will preside over the event.
The celebration begins with the arrival of dignitaries and invitees, followed by the lighting of the inaugural lamp, floral tributes, and keynote addresses. Guests of Honour are expected to deliver speeches highlighting the importance of art and culture in society.
As part of the programme, an audio release titled “Imagine the Beauty of Manipur – Eikhoigi Phajaba Shaktam”, produced under CMAT by the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur (2023–24), was launched.
The function also include speeches from the Chief Guest and the President, followed by a vote of thanks.
