Imphal, Sept 30:
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission, the NSS-Cell of SAIRAM organized a Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) campaign on September 30, 2024, at its College Campus in Langjing Achouba. The campaign, themed “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskar Swachhata,” aimed to reignite the spirit of collective action and citizen participation in cleanliness efforts.
During the event, all students from B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, M.Sc. Agriculture, teachers, and non-teaching staff participated in a ‘Swachhta Oath’ led by Professor H.S. Shekhar Sharma, Director of the South Asian Institute of Agricultural and Rural Management, at 7:30 AM.
Participants engaged in “Shramdaan,” which involved a comprehensive cleaning initiative across the college campus, including classrooms, laboratories, and research blocks. Activities included unclogging the sewage system, beautifying the area by painting fruit and ornamental plants, deep cleaning staircases, fixing loose wires, cleaning upholstery, and organizing records.
