Sainik school Imphal observed Patriots’ Day

Imphal, Aug. 13: Sainik School Imphal (SSI) observed Patriots’ Day in the Manekshaw Auditorium of the School with great zeal and enthusiasm.  Officers, staff and cadets paid floral tributes to the Martyrs in commemoration of their supreme sacrifices and dedication to the motherland from the colonial rule of the British.  On the occasion, the school Principal Capt (IN) VinayTiwari addressed the cadets reminding them of the memorable events of india’s freedom movements against the British that existed in different parts of our country many decades ago.  Educating the young cadets, he stated each one of them has to imbibe the qualities displayed by the brave patriots.
Cadets of SSI, on the occasion, performed a drama depicting the historic events of ‘BirTikendrajit’, which was followed by a patriotic song, sung in chorus by forty six cadets of the school.  Also, an Inter-HouseQuiz Competition was conducted for Cadets both Senior and Junior categories.
