President of Indian National Congress, Manipur Pradesh, Gaikhangam has compared the former MLAs and ministers, who have joined Bharatiya Janata Party with “rotten eggs that would never hatch”.

BJP is dreaming of winning at least a seat in the upcoming by-election of the three assembly constituencies. However, the ex-MLAs are not likely to fulfill their cherished “day dream”, Gaikhangam said.
While condemning the violent incidents, kidnapping, rampant booth capturing and other undemocratic episodes that marked the recently concluded ADC election, the Congress president said that the NSCN (IM) cadres openly came out on the street in support of nexus of Naga People’s Front candidates causing unwanted incident during the process of the election.
The congress could in all the six ADC districts if the elections were conducted in a free and fair manner, he said. Despite of all these disturbances the party would be triumphant in 4 (four) ADC districts, Gaikhangam predicted.
