Roger’s murder case: Conviction hearing postponed  

Imphal, Jan 11: Conviction hearing case of Roger murder case, which was scheduled today, has been postponed on January 20.
District and Session Judge, Imphal West, Maibam Manojkumar on January 6 had announced accused Nongthongbam Ajay as guilty in the sensational Irom Roger Singh murder case on January 6. The court had fixed today as the date for announcement of the quantum of punishment.
The accused Ajay Singh was convicted under Section 304 Part II of IPC and Section 27 of Arms Act. The court remanded him to judicial custody following announcement of the judgment.
Ajay is the son of former Minister N Biren Singh, who had recently joint the BJP. Ajay allegedly shot dead Irom Roger at Ghaari over road rage on March 20, 2011.
