The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a Swachhta Health Camp today at the Manipur State Pensioner Union Building, Pishumthong, Imphal West, under the Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) 2025–26.
Held in collaboration with the Manipur State Pensioner Union, the camp was led by Prof. Y. Govindaraj Singh of the Department of Physiology and Nodal Officer for SAP 2025–26/Kaya Kalp, RIMS. A team of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals from the Departments of Medicine, Orthopaedics, Respiratory Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Physiology and Community Medicine provided a range of medical services to pensioners and senior citizens.
A total of 70 individuals benefited from the initiative, with free medicines distributed to all attendees. Participants had the opportunity to interact with Prof. Y. Govindaraj Singh, who addressed their health-related queries and concerns.
General Secretary of the Manipur State Pensioner Union, Purojit Laiyengbam, expressed gratitude to RIMS for its proactive effort and dedicated service. He also stated the Union’s interest in organising similar programmes in collaboration with RIMS in the future.
The Manipur State Pensioner Union extended profound appreciation to RIMS, Imphal, for its continued support towards the welfare of pensioners and the wider community.
