‘Respect aged people and their rights’

Panti Golmei President of Rongmei lui Pham (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) today calls on the people to give high respect for aged people stating that it is wrong to consider the aged people as worthless or uneducated people. Speaking in the International Human Rights Day observance function held at Langol Tarung Gomei said that there was a time that the domestic violence, crime against women were consider as normal and also solve by customary laws without her consent and the kind of thing sometimes happened still today. He appealed the people to stop blindly follow religion and playing with the human rights of the people.
The observance function was attended by former DC of Tamenglong , Akham Panmei, advocate Sumitra Kamei, and Namdithiu Pamei, Zenith Kamson and Aram Pamei as presidium member and resource person.
