The Rastrahit Sarvopari Sangathan has elected new office bearers for its Manipur State Unit, including its state president and key functionaries. The election was conducted today at the office of the Progressive Artist Laboratory Complex at Lamboi Khongnangkhong, with National Vice President M. Indrajit presiding over the proceedings.
During the meeting, the Sangathan appointed politician Mayengbam Amutombi as the State President. Academician Ningombam Nilamani, who is also a Life Member of the Art Society Manipur, was elected as the State General Secretary. Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Nameirakpam Tiken was elected as the North East Cultural Coordinator.
Addressing the gathering, National Vice President M. Indrajit stated that the organisation has been working with the principle of “nation first” and is committed to contributing to national welfare. He said the Manipur State Unit would actively take up responsibilities aimed at the betterment of the people. He further noted that the Sangathan seeks to promote unity in Manipur and strengthen harmony among its various communities.
