As part of the Nation First @75 Campaign under Viksit Bharat Viksit Manipur, the 8th edition of Rashtriya Poshan continued today under the supervision of the District Administration Kakching with a mission to combat malnutrition and promoting holistic child health and nutrition.
The programme was held at the Community Hall of Oriental Social Association (OSA) Club, Hiyanglam under the theme “Right Nutrition, Healthy Life”, organised by the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Project, Kakching of Social Welfare Department.
Ng. Nandita, Supervisor of ICDS Project Kakching, attended the programme as Resource Person and spoke on Rashtriya Poshan Maah, highlighting its objective.
The event was attended by Dr. Thaodem Rajen, Chief Medical Officer Kakching; N. Parango Singh, DPO/CDPO, ICDS Project Kakching, N. Devendro, DO of Food Safety Kakching, E. Premila, Public Health Nurse Supervisor; Elangbam Surendrajit, former Adhyaksha of Kakching Zilla Parishad and Shri Elangbam Devakishwar, former Chairperson of Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat, Supervisors and staff of ICDS Project Kakching, Anganwadi workers, helpers, among others.
As part of the programme, a tree plantation drive was also held under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, highlighting the interconnectedness of health, food and the environment along with a focus on honoring mothers.
