A rape convict who has been in judicial custody after court convicted him of raping a teenage girl was found died at Sajiwa Jail where he was kept. The rape convict has been identified as S Ngoupuni (65), son of late Saiba of Liyai Khullen and staying at Paomei Colony Sangakpham, Imphal. He reportedly killed himself after falling from the roof of the Sajiwa Jail at around 9.30 am today. It may be mentioned that S. Ngoupuni was arrested by a team of Imphal East police on charge of raping a teenage girl in April, 2014.
