Proposal for raising of superannuation age for Home Guards approved

State government gave confirmation on the raising of superannuation age for Home Guards from 59 years to 60 years.
Sources said that the proposal of Home Department regarding DP’s confirmation on whether the retirement age of 60 years which was raised from the existing 59 years as extended to the State Government employees will be applicable to all Home Guard employees was processed and examined in the Department of Personnel and in the course of its examination, it had been observed that the existing age of superannuation of 60 years is applicable to all State Government employees provided they are appointed on regular basis.
