PREPAK refutes Police claims

The People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), in a press release issued by Mangal Khuman, Officer in Charge of the Department of Publicity and Propaganda, clarified that Lisham Sanayaima, @ Thangjingba @ Thoujal, hailing from Uyumpok Maning Leikai under Sagolmang Police Station, had deserted the party on February 21, 2016.
According to the statement, Sanayaima held the rank of Sergeant in the Red Army but has had no association with PREPAK or its activities since his desertion. The party emphasized that his arrest by Manipur Police along with five letterheads belonging to another group further proves that he no longer has any ties with PREPAK.
The party also rejected the police’s description of Sanayaima as a “self-styled Lieutenant of the Red Army,” calling the claim baseless and misleading.
PREPAK further warned that certain individuals have been misusing the name of the party to settle personal matters and extort money. The party stated that it is aware of the identities of those involved and urged them to report to the party immediately. Failure to do so will result in serious consequences, the release stated. PREPAK also appealed to the public to report any such individuals who are demanding money in the name of the party.
