People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) greeted the people of the state and other parts of the world on the occasion of International Day of Peace which is observed throughout the world on September 21.Leibak Ngakpa Luwang, Assistant Secretary, Publicity and Propaganda of People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) in a press release, today said that people of the state have been deprived of the taste of peace due to the suppression by the colonial powers. It further said that PREPAK is aware of the fact that people prefer the long term peace instead of the peace which is misled by colonialism. People of the state know that a dependent state or a country cannot maintain peace. The statement added that the first observance of International Day of Peace was observed on 21st September,1982 at the Head Quarter of the United Nations in New York by tolling a bell which was prepared with the coins donated by the children across the world.  The bell which was presented by United Nations Association of Japan and it is assumed as the symbol to remember the value of those people who succumbed in wars.It also said that presently there are more than 200 crore of armed activists across the world are fighting to restore freedom of their respective countries and are living without experiencing the taste of peace. Statute 38 of International Court of Justice accepts Right to self-determination is one of the basic requirements in order to bring peaceful co-existence in the world. However, India is not following the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights even after giving its acceptance. India’s policy to destroy the peace in Jammu-Kashmir and Corridor Countries of South East Asia is against the aspiration of United Nations
