Proscribed group PREPAK said that the two persons – Mayanglambam Ongbi Victoria @ Jaswapati Devi (43), wife of M. Loken Singh Top Khongnang Makhong Imphal East and Bachaspatimayum Lakhikumat @ Heithoiba @ Sajikngakpa of Dibong Khunou Jiribam, presently staying at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, who were arrested by CDO Thoubal and 22 AR from Sekmaijin area as recruiters of PREPAK cadres, are in no way related with the organization or its armed wing Red Army. The grenade and other materials recovered from them by the security force has nothing to do with the PREPAK, a statement sent to media house said. It further added that the police PRO statement which tried to relate the party with the SOO signatory KCP KK Nganba group is very unfortunate. It said the statement of the police PRO is nothing but an attempt to malign the image of the party.
The PREPAK statement signed by its Publicity Officer, Dept. of Publicity nd Propaganda also appealed the general public not to believe in the kind of propaganda made by the security force.
