Police nabbed the main accused behind the murder of a 55 years old lady – Sera Khatun from Kshetrigao area in Imphal East on Thursday. The deceased Sera Khatun (55) w/o (L) Md Abdul of Hiyangthang Palak village, Imphal West was found murdered brutally in Nambul River near Irom Meijrao Mamang Leikai Thongkhong under Wangoi Police Station in Imphal West on September 21, 2014. The accused identified as Md. Amuthi@ Abdul Kadir (27) son of (late) Tomba of Hiyanthang Chandranadi Mamang has been in the search since the day the lady was found murdered. Report said that the woman went missing since September 19, 2014 and was last seen going along with him.
