While controlling the mob police lathi charged against the students in front of the parents which created mayhem at Thangmeiband in front of Thau ground this afternoon.
More than 300 students of four schools namely, Aakash Institute of Science and Arts, Aakash Higher Secondary School, Central Institute of Science and Ram Krishna Higher Secondary School who have not received admit cards from CBSE to sit in the upcoming exam today marched a rally towards Assembly house at Chingmeirong while the assembly session is going on. Trying to stop the students from marching towards the Assembly house, a team of police who were on duty, lathi charged the students in the presence of their parents. Many students broke down into tears. The opposite road to Thangmeiband Thau ground was completely occupied by state security force and the hundreds of students. Reporters witnessing the incidents saw some of the students fainting on the spot due to the police action.
