Police constable candidates call weeklong NH economic blockade

Imphal, Aug 10: All Manipur Written Test Successful Candidates of Police Constable Male 2013, has warned of calling economic blockade in the National Highway from the midnight of August 16 to midnight of August 23 if the state government failed to declare the result of the recruitment test by August 15.
In a press release signed by the secretary of the association L.Nandakishor Sharma, it is stated that even after four years of conducting the recruitment test for 2000 Police Constable posts by conducting physical test, written test and viva voce, the government instead of declaring the result conducted another written test for recruitment of 2052 Police constable.
The association said that it had undertaken several form of protest earlier and as the government turn blind to the demand of the candidates, the association now had decided to call a weeklong economic blockade along the National Highway.
