As a part of security measures taken up by the District police Imphal East, Cordon and Search Operation was conducted by teams of CDO-IE led by Inspector B. Lunthang Vaiphei OC-CDO IE under command of Robinsun khamnam DSP-CDO, and overall supervision of M.Kumarjit Singh Addl SP Ops from 5.30 a m to 6.A.m. at New Checkon crossing to Tribal market. A total of 255 persons were verified. The team picked up 7 persons who failed to showed ID proof and handed over Porompat Police Station for further verification.
Another team of city police from Imphal West district also conducted Cordon and Search operation at Ngari galli and Masajid road and Nagamapal Phousabam leirak . About 200 persons were physically verified however no arrest was made during the operation.
