Department of PHED has organised a mass rally here today as part of the National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week.
Holding posters like water is life, construct sanitary letrine, save water and your home is not complete without toilet around 200 peoples participated in the rally which was marched from PHED office to Kangla gate.
Speaking to the media person Additional Chief Engineer of PHE, L Ibomcha said PHED has been working to provide proper sanitary and drinking water to the state. An awareness program also held recently at Haraorok, Saijang and many other part of the state.
He further added that the Department is also planning to organize an awareness at Nachou, Senapati and also planning to organized rally, street plays, workshop in various parts of the state in connection with the National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week.
