District Water and Sanitation Committee (DWSC), Chandel in associated with Organisation for Tribals’ Benefit Programme (OTBP) organized a ‘one day district level workshop’ on the observation and launching of National Rural Drinking Water & Sanitation Awareness Week at DRDA Training Hall of DC Office, Chandel today.
Robert Kshetrimayum, DC/Chairman DWSC Chandel, M.Umakanta Singh, Executive Engineer, PHED Chandel and W.Kanral Anal,President CNPO, Chandel attended as chief guest, President and guest of honour respectively.
Resource Persons of the program, DP Moshil Maring, Child Specialist/MO, Chandel District Hospital and Jameson Bungdon, District Co-ordinator, Chandel PHE Division deliberated on the topic “Health Aspects of Water & Sanitation related Diseases” and “an overview of National Rural Drinking Water & Sanitation Week & Role of VWSC in Water Supply Management”.
During the program, an open discussion was also held on the topic.
