Passengers, goods laden trucks stuck along both National Highways.

Heavy vehicles loaded with goods and passengers are being stuck at the National highway 2 near Mao gate due to the general strike called by United Naga Council (UNC) since January 24. Around 27 heavy vehicles including 20 trucks loaded with goods, 2 wingers carrying passengers and 5 DI trucks which is stuck at the national highway 2 near Mao gate are still waiting for the state highway force to escort them through the highway during the general strike called by the UNC.
Meanwhile, at Jiribam, 92 loaded trucks are stuck near Yaingangpokpi due to the indefinite bandh called by the Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) to press their demand for a full-fledged Jiribam district.
They are also waiting for the state highway force to escort them back to Imphal.
