Parikshit Thoudam awarded as best cadre of NE in IAS training

Parikshit Thoudam, who hails from Uripok Cheirap Maning, Imphal West District, was awarded “The Director’s Shield for the Best Officer Trainee of the North East Cadre.” The award was conferred on the valedictory function of the 2-year-long professional training of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) batch of 2021 which concluded on Dec 2, 2023 at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) Mussoorie, located in Uttarakhand. The ceremony was chaired by Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister, Government of India.
The award is based on the various assessments done over the two years of training. He was allotted to the Indian Administrative Service based on his selection in the 2020 UPSC Civil Services Examination, securing the 60th position. He is currently posted in the Assam-Meghalaya Cadre. He is the son of Thoudam Somerendro and Premabati of Uripok Cheirap Maning, Imphal West District.
