Paramedics staffs of JNIMS demands regularisation

455 Paramedical staffs of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Porompat, today demanded regularisation of their post within April 12, 2015. The paramedics staffs today gathered in front of the administration block of JNIMS and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Director of JNIMS. The demands are – to declare the consequent order properly according to the Approval Letter No. 12/9/2013-M(JNIMS)(Pt) undersigned by Madam Regina Hongray, Under Secretary (Health & FW) GOM on 29th August 2014 as pursuant to the Cabinet decision held on 12/5/2014 to declare 515 including 455 paramedical staffs as contractual basis; to take further action to regularize our posts by the JNIMS Authority through proper channel with your kindness as soon as possible; to stop “The Process of conversion as outsource staffs” immediately.
The paramedics further threatened various form of agitation if the demand put up by them has not been fulfilled with the said given time. Speaking to reporters a staff said that they would undergo agitation of different levels such as black badge protest followed by cease work strike, 24 hour general strike and hunger strike from April 13.
