Our houses are burnt; we will go to Naga Apex body – Liangmei Chief

Liangmei Naga Village chief today said that the Liangmei Naga villagers are equally affected by the ongoing conflict between the Kuki and the Meitei people in the state of Manipur.
Village Chief of Konshakhul, Aimson Abonmai while speaking to a team of media said that the Liangmei village is a small village at Leimakhong Chingmang where the Kuki are inhabiting in large number.
“Due to the ongoing conflict the villagers are also equally affected”, the Liangmei Naga Village chief told media persons. He said that a house belonging to the Liangmei Naga was burnt by the Kuki militants yesterday evening.
“We have pasted Naga mark at all our house and besides knowing that the house belongs to the Naga Liangmei the Kuki militants burnt our house”, Abonmai said adding that as the Liangmei villagers are not safe, he is left with no means but to put up the issue to the notice of the Naga Apex body.
