Imphal, July 16: Day 3 of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow will have medals at stake in eight events. India, with a tally of 10 after Friday’s events, will hope for medals in shooting, judo and weightlifting. India will also look for a good start from world champion boxer Vijender Singh and an improved performance in men’s hockey. At 3.19 pm today, in the Women’s Judo 78kg QF – Jina Devi Chongtham will take on Laura Portuondo (Can). Other Indians athletes scheduled to perform today are: Judo: Men’s 90kg (Rd of 16) Avtar Singh v Matthew Purssey (Sco) at 14:44 IST, Judo: Men’s 100kg (Rd of 16) Sahil Pathania v Raymond Normeshie (Gha) at 14:51 IST, Judo: Men’s +100kg (Rd of 16) Parikshit Kumar v Md Ruzaini Abdul Razak (Mly) at 15:12 IST , Judo: Women’s +78kg QF – Rajwinder Kaur v Jodiye Myers (Eng) 15:40 IST , Boxing: Men’s light-welter (Rd of 32) Manoj Kumar v Mokhachane Moshoeshoe (Lesotho) 18:20 IST , Boxing: Men’s middle-weight (Rd of 32) Vijender Singh v Andrew Kometa (Kiribati) 18:40 IST , Shooting: Men’s 10m air pistol (Qualification) Prakash Nanjappa and Om Prakash 13:15 IST , Shooting: Women’s 25m pistol (Qualification) Rahi Sarnobat, Anisha Sayyed  13:30 IST , Shooting: Women’s 10m air rifle (Qualification) Apurvi Chandela, Ayonika Paul 15:15 IST, Lawn Bowls: Women’s Fours – Section B, Rd 5, Match 2: India v N Ireland 16:15 IST , Hockey: India v Scotland (Men’s preliminary match) 20:30 IST.
