The Manipur State Commission for Women, in collaboration with United College Chandel and Sirti Thiimjiitam Sourkhe (Monsang Naga Students Union), organized a seminar on “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence Opportunities for Women/Students” at the Science Seminar Hall of United College, Lambung, Chandel.
The event was attended by Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang, Chairperson of the Manipur State Commission for Women, along with Commission Members T. Choungsin Koireng and Sk. Sophia Moyon, ADM Chandel Md. Firoj Khan, and Dr. Bd. Thumdal, Principal of United College Chandel, who were part of the presidium.
During the technical session, Dr. Sh. Wilson Monsang, Food Safety Officer of Chandel, and Dr. L. Khiloni, Assistant Professor at South East Manipur College, served as resource persons and spoke on the significance of AI in career development and technological advancements.
Speaking at the seminar, Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang, Chairperson of the Manipur State Commission for Women, highlighted the rapid evolution of AI and its increasing relevance in modern society. She stressed the importance of equipping women and students with knowledge and skills in AI to help them explore career opportunities and its diverse applications in various fields.
The seminar aimed to bridge the knowledge gap and encourage participation in AI-driven fields, ensuring that women and students are prepared to harness emerging opportunities in the digital era.
