A one day discussion on ILP System in Manipur was held today at Manipur Press Club.The discussion which was jointly organized by All Manipur Muslim Organisations Coordinating Committee (AMMOCOC), United Manipur Muslim Women Development Organisation (UMMWDO), All Manipur Muslim Students’ Organisation (AMMSO) and Muslim Advocates’ Legal Service Organisation (MALSO), Manipur was attended by Sheikh Mahamuddin, Secretary ICRA, Advocate Zakir, adviser AMMOCOC, MV Muheiruddin, Secretary ANJUMAN, Khaidem Mani, president AMBA as presidium members.Speaking during the function Khaidem Mani said that ILP is very much required in Manipur in order to prevent from demographic imbalance in the state. ILP is implemented in other north eastern states like Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland etc. In Manipur also the act should be implemented as soon as possible.Farid Khan, president of AMMOCOC, said that all Meitei Pangals residing in the state will organise continuous sit-in-protest at various Meitei Pangal inhabited villages of the state starting from tomorrow.
